1958 AMERICAN Sd G H SCHAEFLER ORIGINAL O/C Lge SEATED ACTOR PORTRAIT FRAMED
American Artist G. H. Schaefler Signed, on lower left and en verso, this Traditional Portrait, an Original Oil on Canvas. We are not sure of the subject's name but looks to us to a 19th Century Shakespearean Actor, like Julius (Junius) Booth (John Wilkes's father) in Renaissance or period Italian clothing. Piece is dated on back of canvas (en verso) - 1958.
1 1/2" Wide Black frame with Gold double bead detail inside is included complementary in this listing.
Canvas measures 30 X 36 and is in Good to Very Good condition with minor waving of canvas.
Outside measure of the frame is 32 X 38 and is in Good to Very Good condition with minor signs of handling.
